About Us

Our Story

Dream CPR began in the late 2010s when Colin O’Donohoe spoke about the importance of pursuing your true dreams. After personal losses in 2022, he paused music and traveled through places like Senegal and Brazil, where he reconnected with drumming and healing. In 2024, he released Dream CPR; music designed to ease stress and improve sleep. Now with over 200,000 monthly listeners, Dream CPR has grown into a company helping people move from stress to calm and live more fulfilling lives.

Our Mission

Dream CPR's mission is to provide stress relief and create an environment of peace and focus through music-centered wellness. By blending calming soundscapes, mindfulness practices, and innovative storytelling, Dream CPR aims to help individuals reconnect with their dreams, achieve mental clarity, and embrace personal renewal.

Meet The Team

We’re a small team with a big mission; to help you find calm, rediscover hope, and bring your dreams back to life. Meet the people who make it all possible.

Founder

As the founder of Dream CPR, my goal is to share the healing power of music and mindfulness. Inspired by personal challenges and global travels, I’ve witnessed how neglecting dreams dims our light. Dream CPR was created to help you reconnect with yourself, find calm amidst life’s chaos, and awaken your aspirations. Together, we can transform stress into serenity and rediscover the joy of dreaming.

Community Engagement Intern

Hi everyone! I am the newest addition to the Dream CPR team, working as a community engagement intern. I am a senior at Hofstra University in Long Island, New York, studying music business, and will graduate in May 2025. Relaxation and stress management are very important to me as I go through such a transformative period of my life.

The Science Behind the Calm

Dream CPR is grounded in research showing the powerful effects of music on stress and emotional well-being:

Reduces Cortisol Levels

Studies have shown that listening to calming music can lower cortisol, the body's primary stress hormone, helping reduce anxiety and tension.

Activates the Parasympathetic Nervous System

Slow, rhythmic music can stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation and lowering heart rate and blood pressure.

Musical Sculpting

The creation of Dream CPR Tracks is similar to a sculptor. I’ve taken sound FX, nature, streams, percussion, and measures away. There are faint motifs that occur in several tracks but more as a bridge to connect the sound than as a traditional melody.
