Behind The Name: Unveiling Dream CPR
Share
The Dual Meaning of Dream CPR
There is a dual meaning to the name. On one hand, it offers immediate sounds to help soothe you and put you in a more relaxed state so that you may sleep. Secondly, it serves as a reminder that when you wake up, give yourself a moment to reflect on yourself and your own inner compass.
The Science of Sound and Relaxation
Research has shown that certain types of music can significantly impact our physiological state. A study published in the Journal of Advanced Nursing found that listening to relaxing music for just 45 minutes before bedtime can improve sleep quality by up to 35%.
Mindfulness and Sleep: A 15-Minute Practice
Listen for just 15 minutes as a chance to practice mindfulness or longer to approach sleep. This short session can activate your parasympathetic nervous system, reducing stress and promoting relaxation . Our dreams need attention so that we can share that with others.
CPR for Your Dreams
CPR refers to giving immediate time to yourself to reflect on what your dreams are. What are the main desires causing these ideas to be your dreams? Just like in CPR, the music doesn’t have answers but allows you time to revitalize your dreams. It helps assist in breathing life back into what your dreams are or have shifted and morphed into.
Comfort, Hope, and Rest
Dream CPR is my way of trying to offer both comfort and hope to listeners. Yes, rest is important. Embracing life and seizing the day depends on you getting the rest and rejuvenation your mind, body, and soul require.
The Importance of Quality Sleep
According to the National Sleep Foundation, adults need 7-9 hours of sleep per night for optimal health and well-being . Music like Dream CPR can help create an environment conducive to achieving this goal, potentially improving cognitive function, emotional regulation, and overall health.
Dreams are what should get you out of bed
I want to help you connect with the dreams that want you enthused and ready to jump out of bed with focus. When we live with passion and we’ve had a chance to wipe off our inner compass then as long as our mind and body are rested we should be enthused. If nothing is coming to mind that gives you that “jump out of bed I’m so excited” feeling, don’t worry, I don’t either. Sometimes I do though. Sometimes I need a bit of time to get there in my day. Dream CPR is for those days where I don’t have it on my own.
